35 km far from Marrakesh in the direction of the Ourika valley, facing the heights of the Atlas, is the farm of Boutouil Takateret. Unique in the region of Marrakesh, the safran fields are famous. The Ourika Safraniere, invites you to discover this exceptional product: its culture, characteristics, the methods of pruning and drying.
You can also see the secrets of essential oils made out of citrus fruit and aromatic herbs cultivated in the farm and be initiated in Moroccan cuisine (book in advance), a cuisine where saffron is omnipresent.
From the end of October to mid-November, The Ourika Safraniere invites you to celebrate the “saffron season”. A guided tour of the saffron farm is available each day and you can then watch the workers performing their activity.
