The Marrakech-Safi Regional Tourism Council held its Ordinary Elective General Assembly on September 29, 2026, at the Mövenpick Hotel Marrakech. Its members re-elected Mr. Hamid Bentahar for a new term as president.
An assembly bringing together the three colleges of the CRT

The Assembly took place in the presence of representatives from the three colleges of the CRT: elected officials, institutional representatives and tourism professionals.
Approval for the 2025 financial year
The meeting focused on the presentation and review of the activity report and financial report for the 2025 fiscal year, followed by the reading of the auditor's report. After discussions with the members, the General Assembly approved the management of the 2025 fiscal year.
The members also commended the efforts of Mr. Hamid Bentahar, President of the Marrakech-Safi Regional Tourism Council, and all the members of his Bureau, in promoting the development and influence of Marrakech and its region as a destination.
The provinces and their heritage in the spotlight

Particular attention has been paid to actions taken in support of the provinces of the Region, with an approach aimed at strengthening their visibility, attractiveness and integration into the regional tourism dynamic.
The Assembly also highlighted initiatives dedicated to promoting intangible cultural heritage, know-how, traditions and authentic experiences, an essential component of the identity and attractiveness of Marrakech-Safi.
This dynamic is part of a more inclusive vision of territorial promotion. It aims to ensure that all territories in the Region benefit from tourism growth and to consolidate the positioning of Marrakech-Safi as a diverse, sustainable destination rich in heritage and experiences.
Renewed confidence

At the close of the Assembly, the members re-elected Mr. Hamid Bentahar for a new term. This re-election reflects the collective commitment to continue, alongside elected officials, institutional representatives, and professionals, an ambitious drive to promote and develop the Marrakech-Safi region. It will also support the implementation of key projects and the strengthening of the regional tourism ecosystem.
