Jamel Debbouze

No need to introduce Jamel Debbouze, renowned French-Moroccan humorist, actor and producer!

Revealed in the late 1990s by his performances on Radio Nova and Canal +, he became a comedic star in France and Morocco. He then established himself as a sure bet thanks to supporting roles in films with great success: The Fabulous Destiny of Amélie Poulain (2001) and Astérix and Obélix: Mission Cléopâtre (2002). He continues after the first roles, in a dramatic register: Angel-A (2005), Indigènes (2006), Parlez-moi de la RAIN (2008), Hors-la-loi (2010). He also finds Alain Chabat for the family comedy Sur la piste du Marsupilami (2012).

Behind the cameras, he also launched various projects such as the Jamel Comedy Club or le Marrakech laughter festival which is today a huge success!

One of the essentials events of the humorous scene, the Marrakech du Rire - Annual international humor festival - has been held in Marrakech, Morocco since 2011 and has been broadcast every year since its creation on the French television channel M6.
