Route overview
This 3-day road trip along the Atlantic Ocean will offer you an exceptional experience, allowing you to discover the city of Essaouira from the other side of the rich and diverse region of Marrakech.
Exactly 191 km west of Marrakech lies the coastal town formerly known as Mogador. Essaouira is a place where the good life and water-related leisure activities go hand in hand. Take a leisurely stroll in the shade of its ramparts, which also served as a setting for the walls of Astapor, the red city in the television series "Game of Thrones".
Departure from Marrakech. In Chichaoua, start the day with breakfast at a local café, followed by a visit to an argan production site and showroom. At the port of Essaouira, stroll among the fishing boats and enjoy a fish lunch. Continue with a coastal drive to Moulay Bouzerktoun, a small seaside village. Stroll along the coast of Moulay Bouzerktoune to admire the sunset, then end the day with dinner at Inn Lawama.
Return to Essaouira for an artistic tour including art galleries and museums. Opt for a camel or quad bike ride on the beach.
