Gnaoua and World Music Festival

Since its creation, the Festival has always aimed to integrate harmoniously into the city of Essaouira, highlighting the authenticity and exceptional charm of this city. In total, more than 20 emblematic places in the medina served as stages for the concerts: the Grain Market, the Sqala, the Zaouia, picturesque riads, as well as open-air spaces. However, the festival is not just about these places, it is above all a magical atmosphere where festival-goers wander freely in the alleys to meet musicians, journalists, authentic inhabitants of Essaouira or the personalities present. On every street corner, music resonates and the spirit of the Festival is felt, creating an unforgettable experience.
