The largest tagine in the world

Safi is also famous for having made the largest tagine of sardine balls in the world, presented on Saturday July 10, 1999 in Mohammed V Square. The preparation of this colossal dish mobilized the participation of two hundred women, and this feat is recorded in the Guinness Book of Records. The giant tagine measures 6,30 m in diameter and 4,5 m in height, decorated by the city's most talented pottery artisans.
