The 22nd Marrakech International Film Festival (FIFM) will be held from November 28 to December 6, 2025. This prestigious event will bring together 70 films from 32 countries, divided into several sections: official competition, gala screenings, special screenings, 11th continent, panorama of Moroccan cinema, young audience & family screenings, as well as tributes.
The official competition will feature 14 first and second films, offering a diversity of genres, from melodrama to documentary, including futuristic stories and romantic comedies.
Among the highlights, the “Conversations” program will welcome eminent figures of world cinema, such as Tim Burton, David Cronenberg, Alfonso Cuarón, Ava DuVernay, Todd Haynes, Justin Kurzel, François Ozon, Gemma Arterton, Sean Penn, Mohammad Rasoulof, Walter Salles, Kirill Serebrennikov, Abderrahmane Sissako and Justine Triet.
In addition, Italian actress Monica Bellucci will present the documentary “Maria Callas Monica Bellucci: An Encounter” by Greek director Yannis Dimolitsas, in the 11th Continent section.
The festival will open with "The Order," a crime thriller directed by Justin Kurzel, which previously won the Jury Prize at the FIFM in 2011.
